BUDERIM VILLAGE
Modern living in Buderim. Situated on a 560m2 block, this stylish design features open plan, resort style luxury. Our clients asked for low maintenance with a focus on entertaining and that's what they got! The large living and dining space is bright and airy and showcases large patio doors which open up to the cool alfesco area. Another 'must have' in the design brief was a separate lockable studio with its own ensuite and exterior access.
MAROOCHYDORE CENTRAL
A beautiful waterfront block in Maroochydore was the starting point for this modern family home. The great views dictated the design so that the most was made from every aspect. Comprising of a dream kitchen, media room, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, private outdoor areas and a stunning pool makes every day feel like a holiday! Plenty of storage is always a necessity and Chilli Freaks design homes with these practical issues addressed.
HIGHWORTH HOME
Situated on a 1000m2 allotment with rural views, this charming cottage is the first home for a newly married couple. With strict budget constraints a simple design was necessary which utilised the views and prevailing breezes to keep the home cool, bright and airy.
We used the sloping block to its best advantage and designed a double garage and large laundry under the house with an internal staircase to link the garage with the main house above. The height and design of the whole structure lends itself to easily build in extra rooms when funds permit.
PACIFIC VIEW HOME
Situated high on the eastern edge of a mountain, this grand home has amazing views. It includes a fabulous view from the alfresco area adjacent to the kitchen and living areas. External stairs from roadside allows visitors to enter directly on to the alfresco area. The lower level includes a large pool with family room and rumpus room with billiard table.
The stone feature beside the front door was carried seamlessly through the porch, entry and into the interior of the home giving a robust earthy look. The client asked for the children’s bedrooms and play area to be quite separate from the parents suite. Another request was for plenty of storage to accommodate this active family’s sporting equipment. As a result of forward planning, this home will fit the family’s needs for many years to come.
BEACHY LABURNUM
Our client had purchased an old home in an upmarket suburb. The old saying “the worst house in the best street” comes to mind. The existing house was removed to make way for this modern resort-style home. Beautiful tiled floors together with the warmth of timber doors and decking make this modern beauty easy to care for and easy on the eye. Another beautiful aspect of this home is the large undercover outdoor deck, encompassing a stunning glass edge pool.
INVESTOR DUPLEX
Client’s brief for this investment property was a modern, low maintenance dwelling so they could easily manage tenants from their overseas post. To increase the return for the investor by maximising the number of bedrooms to three each side, a two storey option was decided upon. Modern, articulated rooflines enhanced what can be a rather uninteresting type of building. The outside aesthetics is sometimes overlooked by investors but it is always important to make tenants proud to live in and take care of the property.
PRACTICAL MODERN NEW BUILD
Situated on a smaller lot of 510sq metres, this stylish home is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise regular subdivision. The unusual shaped block of a 23m frontage reducing down to a 9m back boundary, helped create a design that is both practical and modern. Consisting of 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, media room, rumpus room, family room, a large outdoor deck and inground pool, this home ticks all the boxes!
FAMILY FRIENDLY FARMHOUSE
Set on lush green acreage, this cool and comfortable easy living family home captures views and cool breezes from every window. The client brief was to remove an existing house and build a new Queensland style colonial home on the same site. The in-ground swimming pool was to be kept and integrated with the new build.
BRIGHT ACREAGE COLONIAL
The client brief for this new family home on small acreage on the Sunshine Coast was to develop a modern sprawling Queenslander to fit the slightly sloping bushy block. Plenty of room was needed to house this active family of three boys and busy working parents. A home office was incorporated as well as a large multi purpose garage. Extra separate semi self contained rooms were also a necessity for visiting family. The outcome was a great looking Queenslander with plenty of character and warmth. Great airflow with cross ventilation makes the home comfortable all year round.
